FEBRUARY 2008 -- Porsche
is recalling 5,573 MY 2008 Cayenne V6
vehicles. A fuel line in the plenum panel
area may contact the rear engine compartment
cover. Relative movements of the engine
while driving may cause knocking noises and
chafing on the fuel line. A fuel leak may
develop. Fuel leakage in the presence of an
ignition source can result in a fire.
Dealers will reroute the fuel line and
install an additional spacer ring free of
charge. The recall is expected to begin
during March 2008. Owners may contact

NEWS:
Porsche recalls Cayennes for fuel line
fix
Porsche is recalling about
5,900 Cayenne
SUVs
from the 2008 model year with V6 engines to
fix a fuel line problem.
The automaker said movement of the engine
could cause the fuel line to rub against
cladding in the engine compartment. The
problem causes a knocking sound and could
leave some marks on the fuel line.
Dealers will reroute the fuel line to solve
the problem.
The recall covers 5573 Cayennes sold in the
United States and 392 sold in Canada. The
SUVs covered by the recall were built from
the start of the 2008 model year through
January 18, Porsche said
