Ford recalling almost 1.5 million vehicles in US due to rear view camera issue

SEPTEMBER 2025 — APNews.com — Ford is recalling almost 1.5 million vehicles in the United States because the rear view camera may show a blank or distorted image on the center display screen while the vehicle is in reverse, which can reduce or distort the driver’s view of what’s behind the car and increase the risk of a crash.

The recall includes certain vehicles from model years 2015 to 2019 of the Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln MKC, Mustang, Ranger, Transit, Transit Connect, Econoline, Edge, Expedition, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD and F-550 SD.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Monday in its safety recall report that Ford is aware of 18 accidents and no injuries related to the camera issue.

The agency said that vehicle owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have the rear view camera inspected and replaced, if necessary. There will be no charge for the service.

Ford and Lincoln recall over 850K cars, trucks and SUVs over potential fuel pump failure

Customers to receive initial notification next week while the automaker readies a fix for the problem.

JULY 2025 — foxbusiness.com — The recall centers on a potential issue with the low-pressure fuel pump inside certain Ford Broncos, Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, Ford F-250 SD, Ford F-350 SD, Ford F-450 SD and Ford F-550 SD vehicles from the model years 2021-2023, as well as some Lincoln Navigators, Ford Mustangs and Ford F-150s from the model years 2021-2022 and Ford Expeditions from model year 2022, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall report.

The low-pressure fuel pump in the roughly 850,300 recalled vehicles could potentially fail. Ford said in the recall report that if that were to happen, it could cause the vehicles to “lose fuel pressure and flow from the fuel delivery module” and bring on a stall of their engines.

There could be a heightened risk of an accident if the engines in the recalled Ford and Lincolns experience a stall while driving.  Failure of the fuel pumps is “more likely to occur in low fuel or warm weather and hot fuel conditions in the fuel tank,” the recall report said.

Customers will receive an initial letter in the mail informing them of the potential problem next week.  That will be followed by a second letter after Ford has a solution to the fuel pump issue ready. It is currently “under development,” according to the NHTSA.

Ford recalls 312K trucks and SUVs over brake failure risk that increases crash danger

Customers to receive initial notification next week while the automaker readies a fix for the problem.

JULY 2025 — foxbusiness.com — Ford is recalling over 312,000 vehicles due to an issue with its power brake assist, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The auto regulator said the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module may lose power while someone is driving, which can extend the stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.

If the module malfunctions when the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems features, which are smart safety features in a car that help the driver avoid accidents, are on, it can also result in the vehicle not braking as expected, which would also increase the risk of a crash.

Approximately 312,120 of the company’s 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco and Ranger vehicles are impacted by the recall.

To fix the issue, the regulator said the software needs to be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer. Both ways are free of charge
