As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems."Lucid Service Centers will inspect, tighten the wiper arm nuts, and replace damaged parts as necessary, free of charge. The electrically activated contact switches that transfer energy to the drive motors, may unexpectedly open, cutting off power to the electric motors. Lucid Service Centers will update the vehicle software and replace the contactor switches, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 21, 2023.
